I was busy with my family and getting ready, so I didn't end up going. I will definately take lots of pictures, and I will try to talk with locals as much as I can. We will have a guide fairly often, so we will definately hear their stories, and who knows, we may strike up a conversation with the guy next to us at a restaurant. And for you just one of many I am quite sure. Well, you must be bouncing off the walls now. I am feeling excited for you-- what a shame that the only excitement in MY life is now the result of living vicariously through my students... :-) Did you attend the OC post grad party? I left just as Lovey and Ben were walking in. Spent most of my time verbally sparring with Kavanaugh about keeping junk food out of school. Then talked politics and he is a big Tea Party guy... did you know the Sarah Palin is, in fact, very intelligent? Amazing the stuff one learns... which brings me back to you-- approach people whenever you can and talk to them while on your oddessey... don't just watch this trip .. engage it in every way you can.
